About me

Aldo Soares is a photographer and portraitist for the press, publishing, and advertising. For 35 years, with his project Gelatinium, he has entrusted his negatives to time, to the earth, and to humidity, to make fragile and resistant images appear, between erasure and survival. Each image found again becomes a fragment of life torn from oblivion. Gelatinium unfolds freely like a living archive, between presence and disappearance.
